Our Story

Mission

Granova Poultry Partners is an inter-generational family business that sells all-natural roasting chickens and products including sausage, satay, liver, and dog treats.

Our farm, located in Harford County, Maryland produces hay, corn, soybeans, Black Angus cattle, and Dorper-Katahdin sheep in addition to our pastured chickens. We are located about thirty-five minutes north of Baltimore. Our goal is to raise our livestock in a natural environment without antibiotics and growth hormones. The chickens we raise enjoy an outdoor enclosure with sunlight, water, grass, and insects. In addition, we feed our birds an all-natural feed sourced from non-genetically modified corn and soy. In the evening, we enclose our birds so they are secure and free from the stress of predators, allowing the chickens to live and grow in peaceful surroundings.

The Farmers

Granova Poultry Partners started with 3 farmers: Natalie, and her two grandchildren, Noah and Ava. The name “Granova” comes from the three names Grandma, Noah, and Ava. As the family has grown, so has the business – which now includes younger siblings Jane and Elijah.

Granova was started as a way to spend quality time together and has developed into a small, profitable business, changing and growing with the demand for locally grown food.

The family takes part in all aspects of the business from caring for the flocks, transporting the chickens to the butcher, and participating in the financial planning, and marketing of our products.

The partners’ efforts have paid off and the quality chickens are not only appreciated by our customers but also by judges in the show ring. Our chickens have won Grand Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons in the Harford County Farm Fair, the Maryland State Fair, and the Harford County Youth Livestock Show and Sale.
