About Granova Poultry Partners

Granova Poultry Partners, LLC is an inter-generational family business that offers pastured roasting chickens to local markets and residents. The partners are a grandmother and her four grandchildren.

The Granova farm - wide

Our farm, located in Harford County, Maryland produces hay, corn, soybeans and black angus cattle in addition to our pastured chickens. We are about thirty-five minutes north of Baltimore. Our goal is to raise our livestock in as natural an environment as possible, with no antibiotics, hormones or chemicals. We know that this practice provides our customers with the best quality meat, free from the artificial chemical stimulants that compromise their good health. The chickens we raise enjoy the natural vitamin D of the sunshine, the sweet grasses and protein of insects, in addition to being fed an all natural, locally-milled corn/soy based feed. Fresh water and the security of being enclosed in the evening – free from the stress of predators – allows the chickens to live and grow in peaceful surroundings.

The Chicken Farmers of Granova Poultry Partners

Natalie, Noah, Ava and DanGranova Poultry Partners started with 3 farmers: Natalie, and her two grandchildren, Noah and Ava. The name “Granova” actually comes from the three names Grandma, Noah and Ava. As the family has grown, so has the business – which now includes younger siblings Jane and Eli.

Some of the Granova Partners, Fall 2017Granova was started as a way to spend quality time together and has developed into a small profitable business, changing and growing with the demand for locally grown food.

The family takes part in all aspects of the business from caring for the flocks, transporting the chickens to the butcher, and participating in the financial planning, and marketing of our products.

The partners efforts have been rewarded, by raising quality chickens appreciated not only by our customers, but by judges in the show ring as well. Our chickens have won Grand Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons in both our Harford County Farm Fair and the Maryland State Fair.

Community Support and Charitable Giving

Heifer International logoGranova Poultry Partners believe in sharing and partnering with those less fortunate. We believe in the Chinese proverb: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for one day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

Our charity of choice, Heifer Project International, practices this philosophy. They provide livestock and sustainable agricultural skills that teach families how to raise food and earn money for themselves and their community.

SARC logoWe also proudly support SARC (the Sexual Assault/Spouse Abuse Resource Center) of Harford County, which provides a critical lifeline for victims, potential victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, child abuse and stalking.

Granova Poultry Partners chicken sausage is the absolute best chicken sausage I've ever tasted. Store-bought chicken sausage is usually very dense and chewy; Granova's is always tender, juicy and oh-so-flavorful! My favorite is the spinach and feta cheese."
